Kampen for frihet is a made-up project, using an existing article from Aftenposten written by Merete Glorvigen. This was designed during one of the courses at school, focusing on strengthening the message of the article by the use of illustration in editorial design. The article is about the Iranian journalist and activist Masih Alinejad, using social media to protest against the Islamic regime in Iran for the forced use of hijab.
Inspired by the text, I designed spreads that focus on the illustrations of Twitter birds as a social media platform as well as a symbol for freedom. By using red as a contrast to the darker and cooler colours, it also showcases the strength and sets apart the topic of the piece.
