"Hair Loss in Teens and Young Adults" is an informational video part of my bachelor's thesis, showing how hair loss can affect the youth and their mental health. In this project I'm working with how to better visualize information through stop motion animation as an approach to a target group consisting of teenagers and young adults that are experiencing or have experienced hair loss.
The most common type of hair loss is genetic (androgenetic alopecia), which occurs often, if not most, in older men. It can therefore be more devastating on youth losing their hair, whether it be as a side effect of chemotherapy, depression or other health related problems. By giving insight in others' personal histories as an educational and motivating informational video, I hope to strengthen their self-confidence in an otherwise difficult period.
